Don't Want to Take a Quiz????
Don't want to read and turn in a quiz, but still want your $130 for the quarter? Do one of the alternative activities below!
Water Log:
Keep track of how many glasses of water you drink each day for the entire month. Use a calendar, make a chart - get creative! At the end of the month, turn in your log in order to get credit.
Fruit and Vegetable Log:
Keep track of how many fruits and vegetables you eat each day for the entire month. It is recommended that 4 servings of fruit and 3-4 servings of vegetables are eaten each day. Like the water log, get creative in how you keep track. At the end of the month, turn in your log in order to get credit.
Exercise Log:
Keep track of your exercises for the month. It is recommended that we exercise 20 minutes each day. As with the water and food logs, be creative with it, and turn it in by the end of the month in order to get credit.
Preventative Care:
Get a checkup! If you get preventative care done (yearly physical, pap smear, eye exam, dental exam, etc.), it can count towards your wellness for that month. Preventative care visits must be done in the month you are turning it in for (You can't get a physical done in March and turn it in for October). To get credit for the month, turn in a doctor's note. If you are not sure what counts as preventative care, contact Amanda at the office.
Donate Blood:
Give blood and get money! Donate blood as part of your wellness. Turn in some form of proof you were there - a slip from a nurse, a picture of you in the chair, etc. - and it will count as credit for the month.
Take a Class:
Sign up and participate in a class at your local YMCA or community center. Take an exercise, cooking, or self-defense class, and it will count towards your wellness. Just turn in some kind of proof you were there!
Participate in a 5K or Sponsored Walk:
If you participate in a 5K or Sponsored walk, it can count towards your wellness for that month! Some examples are Relay for Life events, mud runs, and color runs. Turn in your registration form, number from the race, or a picture of you participating in the event, and it will count as credit!
